Day 1 / Welcome to astonishing Venice

Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 / Venice – St. Mark’s square and much more…

Breakfast. Morning private guided tour of the city highlights: you will visit all the famous landmarks in St. Mark's Square, the former political centre of the Venetian Republic, the Doge's Palace, once the seat of the government, you will cross the Bridge of Sighs to walk through the dark cells in the Dungeons. The tour ends with a visit of St. Mark's Church. Afternoon at leisure; you could enjoy a gondola tour on the Grand Canal or just wander through the characteristic Venetian calle (typical Venetian streets). Exclusive welcome dinner and overnight.

Day 3 / Boat tour to the Islands of Murano, Burano & Torcello

Breakfast. Full day excursion by boat to the Islands. On Murano you are introduced to the amazing secrets of glass blowing; on Burano you admire the brightly coloured fishermen's houses and on Torcello you visit the old Cathedral S. Maria Assunta and the lonely brick Campanile. Return to Venice. Overnight.

Day 4 / Travel to Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance

Breakfast. Morning at leisure. In the early afternoon departure to Florence. Arrival, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 / Explore the art of Florence

Breakfast. Pick-up at the hotel by your local guide for a morning walking tour of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Visit the city’s highlights: the Baptistery, Giotto’s bell tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore - the Duomo - with its famous dome by Brunelleschi, the picturesque Signoria Square, where you may take the opportunity to admire statues by Cellini, Giambologna and Ammannati. Proceed to the famous Ponte Vecchio and the Santa Croce Church, containing the tombs of illustrious Florentine citizens such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli, as well as fascinating works by Giotto and Donatello. The remainder of the day in Florence is yours to explore as you please. Overnight.

Day 6 / Treasures of the Uffizi Gallery

Breakfast. Pick up at the hotel by your local guide for a guided tour of Florence’s inspiring Uffizi Gallery, originally a suite of offices, which was first used to display the Medici family’s private art treasures in 1581 – thereby making it the oldest art gallery in the world. Its vast collection includes some of the most revered works of the Italian Renaissance, such as Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, Michelangelo’s The Holy Family, da Vinci’s unfinished Adoration of the Magi, Bellini’s Allegory and Raphael’s Madonna of the Goldfinch. Free time for lunch and afternoon at leisure. Overnight.

Day 7 / Tuscan landscape, Siena and on to Rome

Breakfast. Today on the way to Rome stop in Siena for a private guided walking tour. Rich in history, art and popular traditions, Siena, possibly the best preserved medieval city in Italy, is built on three hills and full of winding alleyways, enclosed within the circle of its massive walls. Free time for lunch. Continue to Rome and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 / Imperial Rome

Breakfast. Morning private guided walking tour of the Eternal City including the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona with its beautiful neoclassical architecture. Free time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure to pursue your own passions. Overnight.

Day 9 / Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

Breakfast. Discover one of the most beautiful sites in the world on the private guided tour of the Vatican Museums, St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Free time for lunch. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Rome as you please. Farewell dinner and overnight.
